Improving Sleep

Goji berries are a rich source of two nutrients that are necessary for healthful sleep:

* Thiamin (B1): The vitamin is found in the hulls of grains, but it is missing from diets that mostly contain refined grains. Thiamin also improves mood, alleviates depression and increases energy levels.

* Magnesium: The mineral reduces the time it takes to fall asleep and improves the quality of sleep.

Acai packs powerful Age-Defying punch

If you ask almost anyone that is mature in age if they want to look younger the answer will almost always be “Yes”. Acai Juice is a great product not only for it’s age-Defying benefits, but many others as well. The fatty acid content in açaí resembles that of olive oil, and is rich in monounsaturated oleic acid. Oleic  acid is important for a number of reasons. It helps omega-3 fish oils penetrate the cell membrane; together they help make cell membranes more supple. By keeping the cellmembrane supple, all hormones, neurotransmitter and insulin receptors function more efficiently. This is particularly important because high insulin levels create an inflammatory state, and we know, inflammation causes aging.

Rinsing your Berries

As with any fresh produce, it is recommended that the berries be rinsed well in a strainer and the excess water shaken out to remove any dust and other micro particles before consuming. This will help make them more supple for eating as well.  They may also be eaten directly by themselves, since they are quite tasty this way also.

Workout with Goji

Goji helps the body adapt to stress from exercise and improves fatigue. Adaptogens enhance the body's replenishment of the two important muscle fuels — glycogen and creatine phosphate (CP) — both of which are depleted during exercise. This enables you to avoid burnout associated with glycogen depletion and allows you to fit more high-quality workouts into a defined period. Knowledge about adaptogens dates back thousands of years to ancient India and China, but serious scientific study did not begin until the late 1940s. In 1947, Dr. Nikolai Lazarev defined an adaptogen as an agent that allows the body to counter adverse physical, chemical, or biological stressors by raising nonspecific resistance toward such stress, thus allowing the organism to “adapt” to the stressful circumstances. For athletic performance enhancement, research suggests a daily usage of two to five ounces of high-quality standardized goji juice, taken in divided doses before and after exercise.

Are you doing everything you can to protect your pet?

The last few decades have witnessed an alarming increase in chronic pet disease.  Americans in 2006 spent $17 billion on veterinary care and medicine for their pets.  Most of these illnesses were virtually unknown in the 1960s.  All of these conditions are linked by one common factor; a breakdown of the immune system that is essential for keeping your pet strong and disease-free.  It has been strongly suggested that the precipitous decline in pet immune health may be a result of the widespread use of nutrient-poor, highly processed commercial pet foods. Instead of treating the underlying causes of illness by supporting the immune system, many veterinarians tend to address only the symptoms with antibiotics and cortisone, thereby allowing the disease to progress.
   Goji works the same on your pet as it does on people.  Cells are cells and thus Goji helps detoxify them. It is not selective by sex, race, or species. Goji's powerful antioxidants and unique polysaccharides harness your pet's immune system to help fight illness, chronic disease, major injuries and even signs of aging.

Free Radicals

  Free Radicals are molecules or atoms that are unstable and attack healthy cells. Now this is part of everyday life and that is why our bodies have antioxidants. The antioxidants work to neutralize the free radicals. Normally, the body can handle free radicals. However, in today’s high stress environment things like poor diet, work, lack of sleep, smoking, and more can create an environment for free radicals to damage our cells. If there are not enough antioxidants in our system to neutralize them then damage can occur. That is why it is important to consume additional antioxidant.  Goji berries are a excellent source of antioxidants.

Benefits of Polysaccharides in Goji Berries

One of the best best things found in Goji Berries are the high level of polysaccharides.  Studies have shown that polysaccharides are exceptional sources of the essential cell sugars necessary for proper immune function and intercellular communication.  These polysaccharides can enhance health by maintaining normal cell growth and thus may help slow the aging process.  This isn't to say that you can eat a bunch of junk food and expect to beabsolved by topping it off with a handful of Goji Berries.  It's best to stick with a healthy diet and include foods such as Goji Berries for optimal health.

Below is a list of 10 great benefits of polysaccharides:

1) Inhibit tumor growth
2) Prevent cancer
3) Neutralize the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation
4) Help normalize blood pressure
5) Help balance blood sugar
6) Combat autoimmune disease
7) Act as an anti-inflammatory

Fast Food and Pill Popping Generation

  In this day and age many people have become a custom to the Fast Food lifestyle. Not only do we have this philosophy for our food but it has also become habit for the way we treat our health. Who can't say that when they get sick the first thing they think about is seeing the doctor and receive a prescription for pills that will cure us. Now I would not argue that modern medicine has not saved many lives, but I do think many people rely on pills to fix problems that could be avoided by just simple health maintenance. A few examples is to make sure your body receives all the vitamins and nutrients that it needs. Goji Berries are a great food source for several of the things your body needs on a daily basis . A few of those things are:

* 19 amino acids, 6 times more than Bee Pollen
* 21 trace minerals, including Germanium
* 6 essential fatty acids
* Vitamins B1, B2, B6, C, E
* More beta carotene than carrots
* More antioxidant power than any other known food source
* 500 times more Vitamin C than oranges
* 4 Unique Polysaccharides (Master Molecules) found in no other food source
* Linoleic acid, which significantly promotes body fat loss
* 15 times more nutritional iron than spinach
