Some people believe in the statement "You can trace any sickness… and every ailment to a mineral deficiency." While sometimes the body mutates incorrectly and creates problems within itself, it is often true that most issues arise under unfavorable conditions. With the correct nutrients, the human body can typically run smoothly and deal with any problem that may occur. One nutrient in particular is necessary to keep things running problem-free. Without calcium, which is easily retrieved through coral, the human body would fall apart.

While milk is normally a popular place to get calcium, coral is the best source. Other plants retrieve their nutrients–such as calcium–through the soil that they are grown in. When all of the nutrients have been absorbed from the soil, the plants lose their nutritional value as well. This isn't a problem with coral, as it naturally produces calcium. Because the nutrients are pre-digested within the coral its readily absorbed into the bloodstream. Coral works so well and naturally with humans that surgeons use it in bone grafts. Muscles and tendons attach and grow on it as though it was human bone. This good relationship with the human body promotes calcium absorption.

Calcium is a mineral well known to help bone strength. However, the promotion of strength and growth in bones and cartilage isn't the only benefit to calcium. It can keep muscles, nerves, and the blood working properly, as well as promote healing as well as aiding in regulating various hormones and enzymes, transmission of nerve impulses, and blood clotting. Because the importance calcium has in many bodily functions, the body seldom has enough of it. Sometimes the body needs calcium for another reason, though.

When a human is young, his blood stream and body tissue is alkaline. It remains this way while growing to keep it healthy and safe. Diseases can only thrive in acidic blood and tissue. An alkaline environment is very difficult for a disease to live in. As the body ages, though, the regulated pH level–which determines whether it's alkaline or acidic–starts to rely more and more on what the person ingests. With age, the human body becomes more susceptible to diseases. The calcium in coral helps regulate the pH levels in the blood stream and thus protect from diseases that often come with age.

In 1932, Otto Warburg won the Novel Prize in Medicine by expounding upon these facts. His research lead to the knowledge that a lack of free oxygen in tissue can cause cancer. This is pertinent because acidic tissue is devoid of oxygen. Everyone's aware of the chemical formula for water–H2O. When it breaks down, it becomes H+ and OH-. The positive half is acidic and the negative half is alkaline. The alkaline molecule still has oxygen, and provides oxygen to the tissue it's in. If calcium is added in the blood stream, the acidic molecules will be neutralized and balance the blood stream for a healthy pH, ultimately protecting from cancer. Acidic blood and tissue will also result in problems in the saliva, spinal fluid, kidneys, and liver. Adding coral calcium to one's diet may help protect against degenerative diseases such as diabetes and arthritis.

Despite the necessity of calcium, there is still the potential to overdose. Symptoms may include calcium deposits or calcium kidney stones. However, these tend to be rare extremities. When taken in appropriate doses it can provide a healthy lifestyle for the one taking it.

While maintaining bone density is directly linked to adequate calcium and magnesium, there are many other benefits to having sufficient calcium in your diet.

Aschan reports on a recent study that identified calcium to weight loss in post-menopausal women. Calcium has been shown to positively impact the breakdown of fat stores in the body. I'm sure this will be exciting news for a few ladies I know!

What really surprised me in this article was the fact that almost 70% of all Blacks are lactose intolerant. This statistic was amazing to me. I know a few people who are lactose intolerant and must carefully examine product labels to insure that milk products are not included.

If you are lactose intolerant, or if you just want to ensure that you are getting sufficient amounts of calcium and magnesium, you will want to begin using Liquid Coral Calcium.

Exciting news at Gojis and More! We have a brand new product on the shelves for you!

Liquid Coral Calcium is a great new liquid supplement for your body. You may think it is a no-brainer as to why we need calcium in our diets. Remember, it was why your Mother said, "Finish your milk!" We hear from the Dairy industry that it builds strong teeth and bones. But with the large numbers of people who are lactose intolerant, Milk is NOT for every body.

So, where do you get your calcium? Spinach, Chard and Kale are very high in calcium but also contains oxalate which inhibits calcium absorption. So you eat a cup of cooked spinach, you only metabolize about 5% of the calcium. Fish with bones is also an excellent source of calcium, but you have to eat the bones! And just how much fish do you eat every day?

The answer is a liquid calcium supplement. Why liquid? Because studies have shown repeatedly that liquids are more readily absorbed into the body than solids.

The USDA states that an adequate intake of Calcium is between 1000 and 1300 mg per day. This is adequate, not ideal. Other sources report that ideal may be closer to 2000 mg per day. Liquid Coral Calcium provides you with 1475 mg per dose. It has been micronized, ionized and is 100% bio available.

There is more than bone building that makes calcium so important, but we will discuss that later.
