Many people ask themselves, why bother with taking goji? Well a few good reasons are that it is high in antioxidants, contains 4 unique polysaccharides and also has essential minerals and amino acids that the body needs. If that is not enough reason there is more. Although goji berries are good for you they also taste great. Unlike many health products you do not have to force your self to eat them. In fact you will want to.

Goji Berries value to human health was explored in China thousands of years ago. It has been cited by several ancient Chinese Medicine since the Tang Dynasty (1000-1400 A. D) for its multiple health benefits, such as: nourishing the Yin (Yin-Yang theory is the fundamental theory of Chinese Traditional Medicine. Yin represents the material part of the body and Yang represents the energy and function of the body), strengthening the eyes, liver and kidney and nourishing the blood. Goji Berry fruits are used in many herbal formulas to maintain overall health when suffering from chronic conditions, such as weariness of the loins and legs, dizziness and ringing in the ear, visual degeneration, headaches, insomnia, chronic liver diseases, diabetes, tuberculosis, and hypertension. Ancient people used goji berry fruit to make tea, soup, stew and wine or chewed them like raisins. Scientists in modern China have extensively studied goji berry fruits, their nutrients and their medical benefits. They have further substantiated the ancient medical applications such as: maintain healthy immune system (including specific and non-specific immune response), improving eye conditions, support healthy liver function, maintain healthy blood pressure and blood sugar. Goji berry is also an excellent herb for anti-oxidant and anti-aging.

Also let it been known Tibet is considered part of China. If you travel to Tibet you are in China so companies making claims that there berries don't come from China this is also miss-leading.

As they fed the goji berries into the spectrometer, an interesting pattern
began to emerge. There seemed to be a great similarity between the
spectral signatures of goji berries from each of these regions. That was to
be expected, as all goji varieties have a close family resemblance. They are
all of the Lyciumgenus.
There were several peaks, however, that varied greatly in height for
different samples of berries. Spectral signature graphs of berries from
Xinjiang and Ningxia tended to exhibit the highest peaks, with the rest
of the samples showing peaks that were lower to varying degrees.
To the researchers, the discovery of these peaks indicated that there
might be some unknown active compounds present in the goji berry,
and that they were found in the famous berries of Ningxia and Xinjiang
at higher levels than in the less renowned berries.
There were two complicating observations, however:

1) Not all samples of Ningxia or Xinjiang berries had these high
peaks. Some of the samples had lower peaks, and it was noteworthy
that the lower-testing berries corresponded with years in which
there had not been as much sunlight or rainfall, or when late
summer temperatures had been abnormally low.

2) Conversely, there were some samples from lesser regions that tested
incredibly high, and once again there was a direct correlation
between the high spectral peaks and an exceptional growing season.
But doesn’t this make sense? Not every year is a “vintage” year, for goji
berries or for fine wines. In fact, in the last 30 years, one of France’s premier
vineyards has produced a “great” wine only three times. Twice during that
time, the wine has been pronounced to be virtually unfit to drink! To learn more about goji berries and the spectrometer click here.

1) Not all samples of Ningxia or Xinjiang berries had these high
peaks. Some of the samples had lower peaks, and it was noteworthy
that the lower-testing berries corresponded with years in which
there had not been as much sunlight or rainfall, or when late
summer temperatures had been abnormally low.

incredibly high, and once again there was a direct correlation
